Putting the "Social" in Social Networking

It seems reasonable to me, that if an activity is called “Social Networking”, then it should actually be Social.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve amassed several contacts, connections, and internet friends on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, but because I want to improve the quality of those connections, I’ll be spending some time actually reaching out to the people in my network.

Apparently for some, this idea is unheard of, but I think it’s necessary to insure that people aren’t just laying dormant on your social networking lists (which isn’t a good thing for most people). Plus, since I’m not just in this for “numbers alone”, I’m curious to know what people are up to, and in return, they may be curious about me. It’s a win-win, since everyone’s favorite topic is generally THEMSELVES! LOL.

So, if you’re one of my many connections out there within my social media network: GET READY! If I haven’t already contacted you, it’s coming soon. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But soon! :)
